| The Frederick County Division of FIre/Rescue Services career staff assigned to the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department did a memorial stair climb of over 2000 stairs using the exterior stairs at the firehouse in honor of the 343 FDNY firefighters that died on September 11, 2001. The memorial stair climbs are in recognition of the 2,071 stairs climbed by the FDNY firefighters on 9/11. Each shift at Libertytown participated in climbing the stairs from the operational area parking lot to the carnival grounds parking lot to honor the fallen heroes. |
