Jim Snyder, Taylor Burgee and Shelton Plumbing Recognized by LVFD

Two members of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Dept. and one local business were recognized for their contributions to the fire department and the community at the annual awards ceremony of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department held April 6, 2026. Jim Snyder received both the Chief's Award and the President's Award for his contributions to his dedication to the fire police and his commitment and coordination to assure the social hall is always prepared for use. Taylor Burgee received the "Rookie of the Year" Award for her dedication to training and activity as a new operational member, as well as volunteering to be the chairman a major fund raising event as a new member. A new annual award to recognize businesses and members of the community that support the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department was presented to Shelton Plumbing. Eddie Shelton, owner, his wife Cindy, and many of his employees have gone well beyond plumbing repairs, and have also put in numerous hours at the carnival and other fund raising events .
