The Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department has again stepped up to assist another fire company in need by partnering with the Vigilant Hose Company of Emmitsburg. The Vigilant Hose Company has donated an ambulance to the Watts-Caney Fire and Rescue in Lost Creek Kentucky. The ambulance was recently replaced by Vigilant with a new unit . The Watts-Caney Fire Rescue lost everything in the catastrophic flooding in Kentucky this past summer. A request was made to all Frederick County companies to assist in providing supplies and equipment that is no longer used.

Chief More' on behalf of the officers and members of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department have donated a stair chair, scoop stretcher, KED device, Hare traction device, and a Henley board with head blocks and straps that have been replaced or are no longer used. The Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department is proud to not only serve our community, but respond to help other volunteer fire departments in time of need.
